Notes: Loved this room. It was quiet and we had a great view coming into Grand Cayman. Very close to the elevators and close to all the happenings on floors 3 and 4 and close enough to run up the stairs to deck 9 for snacks and fun. This room was so great we rebooked it for our EBTA 12 day cruise next year. |

Notes: Before we arrived I was concerned that I might hear the Buena Vista Movie Theatre underneath the stateroom location, but that did not turn out to be a problem.
I knew from the general pictures of the Dream, that the lifeboats were underneath Deck 6, and above Deck 5.
The great news is that this room's balcony view is above two life boats with a huge opening between them. So you can look down directly without a life boat blocking your direct view.
This location was close to walk to the elevator/stair areas.
I would stay in this stateroom again.
The stateroom was beautiful, and there were no problems with anything during our stay. I could not hear anything from the rooms on either side of us.
This was our first cruise ever. |

Notes: I was initially concerned about the location, which is almost directly opposite the stairs and mid-ship elevators. However, we had no noise from the hallway. I did notice during the night noises from the deck above us, which sounding like they were power washing/scrubbing the outside Deck 7 area. This did not bother me though, and I doubt I would have noticed it much if I had not already been awake. The carpet was new. Their were some minor cosmetic issues (some rust areas on the verandah and some silver varnish peeling off the faucets and sink), but these were minor in my opinion. We had plenty of room with two adults and two children. Good view of water and the island Cozumel. Faced Castaway Cay. Very convenient to the kids clubs, located one deck down, with the Lab right at the bottom of the stairs. Stateroom attendant was friendly, cleaned the room well and kept us in plenty of fresh towels. |

Notes: The room itself was in great shape. We loved being on Starboard seeing CC, the fireworks, etc.
However, there was a loud noise throughout the cruise that sounded like a motor turning on and off. It happened randomly throughout the day and night. It woke us up at night and could get annoying if trying to relax in the stateroom. |

Notes: The first night of our 7 night cruise we were subject to the repeated slamming of a door that sounded as though it was right outstide our stateroom. I looked outside my door expecting to see a crew member/service door across the hall and saw nothing. This banging was extremely frequent from 10 pm to a little after midnight but did continue periodically throughout the night and started up again in earnest the next morning. My husband did some investigating and discovered that there is a crew member only door directly below this cabin on deck 5. The vacuum closer that should keep the door from slamming appeared to be broken so anytime the door was opened it slammed shut. This door is apparently used by the CMs working in the kids club. We reported this to Guest Services 3 times over the course of the day. By 8:00 pm when it still had not been addressed, we parked ourselves at Guest Services and said we weren't leaving until they fixed it as we were not spending another night listening to this door slam. Fortunately they did find some way of addressing it as we did not hear a peep from this door for the rest of the cruise. Overall, the room had a fair amount of background creaking/crackling but it did not affect my ability to sleep at all. And although the room was directly accessible to the Deck 6 midship elevator lobby, the level of noise was not an issue.
On the Western Caribbean, this balcony faces the Key West docking area which is a nice view. We tendered in a different spot than normal at Grand Cayman due to high winds so I can't speak to the typical view in that port. In Cozumel we were NOT facing the dock side (which had a view of a Carnival cruise ship parked next to us), so we had a pleasant view of the harbor and the Cozumel shoreline. In Castaway Cay, we were NOT facing the dock side so we had a view of the island.
The stateroom attendant who serviced our room, Felindro, was excellent. We were never inconvenienced by him as he always managed to clean/turn-down our room while we were out at breakfast or dinner. My daughter also loved the wonderful towel/blanket animals that he left after both the morning cleaning and the evening turn-down. She left him a note asking if she could take a small bird he had made home and he answered her with a yes. |

Notes: This was an awesome location. Right at the midship elevator lobby, but we rarely heard any hallway noise. It seemed convenient to everything onthe ship. It was a quick floor down to the Lab/Club, another couple flights to restaurants, guest services, etc. A few flights up and you were at the Goofy Pool. We loved it here and would choose it again! |

Notes: We were moved/upgraded here after 2 noisy nights in 6022. Although this is right at a doorway location, we didn't notice any more hall noise, and we did have a balcony where we were able to watch the fireworks! Mid was slightly more convenient than forward, I felt. This was a perfectly fine room. |

Notes: Centrally located, first cabin off the mid ship elevator, excellent location, NO NOISE (except those roving packs of teenagers that everyone complained about), one deck down to kids clubs and movie theater, two decks down to shops and three decks down to dining rooms. No motion detected in the area. |
