Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 6583 | Condition: 3 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 11A | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 11/03/18 | ||
Notes: The good: The stateroom was very convenient to the laundry room, midship elevators and kids clubs one deck down. Did not hear any loud noise from the kids clubs or elevators even with being so close to them.
The Bad: The bed needs replacing uncomfortably worn. Bathroom tub wood paneling kept falling off. Did feel vibration even being midship. Not enough storage for clothing especially when compared to the Dream class ships. |

Notes: This inside stateroom only sleeps three. It was very comfortable for my wife, daughter and I. It does not have a split bathroom but is close to the mid ship stairs and elevators. It is just a few doors down from the laundry room. The luggage easily fits under the bed if opened up and laid flat. Danny our stateroom host was great, we never had to ask for anything from him. The room is quiet with lots of storage. Starting a cruise on St Patricks Day was fun, as was the new time for the pirate night, but we miss the late night buffet with turkey legs and other park food. Our purple "owner's Locker" bin fit under the bed as well, but had to have the top off. Overall a great cruise and nice room. |

Notes: Loved the room. Pretty much in the middle of the mid deck. Equally close to the aft and mid elevators. Very quite halls. However, in rough seas, at night, you might hear a knocking sound. I am guessing something in a back area isn't tied down properly, otherwise, the room was amazing. Bathroom was clean, no issues there, all plugs and electronics in room functioned correctly. |

Notes: Fairly quiet - does not connect to another room but early at night you can faintly hear the Oceaneers club close to the headboard. Creaking as the ship sways as well, but very little hallway noise for us. Tiny bathroom with one small shelf as your only storage space above the sink. Showerhead needs to be replaced, and the handle needs to be replaced or tightened as well as it was very wobbly. Bedside clock was running noticably slow even though we reset it twice. Close to a laundry room. |

Notes: Great room! Midship and convenient to everything. 3 flights up to pool, food and drinks..easy walk up or quick elevator. Two flights down for restaurants and other activities. Room was very quiet, never felt the ship moving. It was very clean. It sleeps 3. I'd book it again! |

Notes: The room itself was basically fine and a good location, quiet and convenient but we had an issue with condensation dripping from the pipes in the ceiling dripping onto the main bed. They had to move us to another room - they tried really hard to fix it but it required major work. They must have eventually resolved it as someone else had to be relocated to that room later in the cruise. We suspect that it was the laundry two doors along going over time on an extended cruise causing the issue. There was also a "creaking" noise at near the foot of the couch and someone had jammed a piece of paper into the gap at the ceiling where the bathroom wall meets the ceiling - not a biggie but perhaps worth mentioning. |

Notes: My sister and I stayed in room 6583(Cat. 11, Deck 6, Midship) on the Wonder May 17-20, 2007.
This room was very nice, although we were unsure of what it would be like since we had never been on a cruise before. It was a nice size for two adults and it was good that the queen size bed was able to be split into two twin size beds. There would have hardly been any room if we had used the pull out couch bed.
The room was very convienient to everything. It is located deck 6 midship. We would go up to deck 9 for most everything, so it was only a few floors up. When we wanted to go to the restaurants or the lobby, it was only a few doors down. We only had to go down to deck 1 when we got off the ship and that was not really a bad walk/ride in the elevator, either.
Our room was not noisy due to laundry/elevators, although we often heard the people staying next door to us through the wall. It was kind of funny to hear their conversations on the phone.
The only thing we were a little dissatisfied with was our tub. It had little dents in it and our drain had to be taken out of the drain to let the water down. We also did not get soap/shampoo for a whole day, even though we asked our stateroom host for it as soon as we boarded the ship and found our stateroom.
Other than this, we were happy with our first cruise experience and would probably book the same category/location again if we had were on the same budget. We are glad we booked a Disney Cruise and would definitely do it again. |
