Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 6598 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 4B | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 11/15/14 | ||
Notes: This room had several distinct advantages and disadvantages that I will list below.
1. It is located between lifeboats, so you get a better view of the water than most verandah cabins on this deck.
2. It has a very slight obstruction on the lefthand side between the it and the next verandah. It's is small and it really didn't bother me that much, but it is there.
3. No connecting stateroom. For me, this was a plus as we were not traveling with any other family and didn't need the noise.
4. This room has no Murphy bed. I was quite upset by this because I specifically asked DCL as I did not want my four year old in a top bunk, and I was told it had a Murphy bed. It does not.
5. Overall a good location in terms of being midship but closer to aft than forward. Cabanas and the family pools are aft while all the adult areas (which we hardly used) were forward.
6. It was quite creaky. Enough that I probably wouldn't book it again as I am a light sleeper and would take my chances with a different cabin. A heavier sleeper wouldn't notice.
7. Great amount of storage space and room to play and live in general. |

Notes: We found this room in great shape. It's on the starboard side, was not at all noisy. It's between the mid and aft elevators which makes it convenient to run up to the drink station. It's about five rooms down from the laundry, so you're close but not close enough to be bothered by the noise. There was just two of us so we had plenty of room, plenty of storage. I would stay in this room again. |

Notes: We enjoyed this room. We had great views while in Key West & Castaway Cay. The room was very convenient to the restaurants. We used the aft staircase most of the time. The room was creaky anytime the ship was in motion but it did not bother us. Besides the creaking it was very quiet. There were only two adults and we had plenty of room. It does have the steamer chest for extra storage. |

Notes: Great cabin with wonderful views from balcony. No noise other that a bit of creaking at night. Really conveniently located to both mid and aft elevators. Laundry room up the hall. Close enough to be convenient, but far enough away as to not be effected by any of its noise. Would book this room again in a heart beat! |

Notes: It was a bit creaky (but not bothersome). It was located a short distance from the laundry room and elevators, but we never experienced noisiness from it. We saw the fireworks from Pirate Night on our balcony. The plunger for the sink kept breaking (but DCL was very good about repairing it). Our toilet stopped flushing the morning of Puerto Vallarta. We reported it and it was fixed by the time we returned to the ship. We were facing Puerto Vallarta when we docked there. Day 1 of Cabo San Lucas we saw the arches. The mid ship location was a lot better for my husband's sea sickness than when we were hanging out on each end of the ship. The room's coffee table is stuck in the up position. We did not report it. The rooms now have the light up alarm clock with the ipod dock. Our room steward, Yerrilee, was charming and always on the ball. |

Notes: Other than the creaking of the ship on rocky nights, I didn't notice any noise in this stateroom. The location was wonderful for us. It is between the mid and aft elevators, allowing easy access to the beverage station, gym, and quick service eateries. We liked it so much, we choose the same stateroom for an upcoming cruise. On the Western, we had great views of Key West, Castaway Cay, and Cozumel as we approached. We were only two adults, so honestly we had plenty of room. I can see it being tight with kids, but for a couple, it is paradise! |

Notes: Very quiet room-between the mid and aft elevators. Easy access to everything and not too close to the laundry facilities. Would sleep three comfortably. Stateroom hostess was great but needs to be a little more liberal with the soap! |
