Notes: My saildate was actually back in 2002 (the site wouldn't let me select a saildate that long ago). I'm only submitting this because no one else has submitted a review of this stateroom since. It is my understanding the ship has been refurbished twice since my sailing. I was in high school for this sailing, so I didn't take in copious notes about our room. All I remember is it was fantastic being so close to the Aft elevator shaft to easily make it to the restaurants and Deck 9 before anyone else! I don't recall any offputting noises in our room - only remember hearing some kids running down the hallways early one morning. Our whole family just thoroughly enjoyed our first cruising experience and had wished we had booked a longer cruise than only 3 nights! We also really liked our towel animals each day.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 6616 Condition: 5
Deck: 6 Category: 4E Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 08/29/12

Notes: We booked this cruise at the last minute when they offered a great deal. We usually book Verandah cabins in Category 5... this was our first Cat 4. Before sailing I noticed that we would be above the Oceaneer clubs and we were a bit concerned about the possibility of noise from below. We were pleasantly surprised that we didn't hear a thing from the kids below... very quiet. Note... this Cat 4 cabin does NOT have the Murphy style bed that enables it to sleep 5. It does have the pullman style bed that pulls down from the ceiling though. It was just DW and I so we didn't need either, but we did enjoy the extra space compared to our usual Cat 5. This cabin is almost perfectly situated between the Midships and Aft stairs/elevators... very convenient!

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 6616 Condition: 5
Deck: 6 Category: 4D Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 02/02/11

Notes: This room was situated well in the midship area. It is almost equidistant to the mid and aft stairs/elevators so you have an option of coming and going as you please. The room was clean, still in brand new condition, and was completely quiet so long as you had the verandah door closed. We were VERY impressed with the sound insulation of the room. (No noise from the kids' areas below.) Deck 6 is also great. It's an easy walk to and from dinner and shows and with access to the aft elevators/stairs is easy to manage when crowds swell around the mid-ship elevators.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 6616 Condition: 4
Deck: 6 Category: 6 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 02/13/10

Notes: We had the opposite stateroom last cruise (6116) and liked it, so we thought we'd give this one a try to get different views, especially of our exhit from Port Canaveral (it quay side) and on Castway Cay (it looks over to the beaches). However, we found this cabin noiser than 6116 - there were much more hydraulic type background sounds, and though not continuous, it was fairly frequent at intervals thoughout the day. Nothing however, that would give you real grounds for serious complaint, so don't dismiss it on these grounds alone. We particularly liked the fact that this cabin has a full ceiling to floor side wall on one side of the veranda (just like 6116)thus giving the veranda a more private feel. We also like the fact that it was just a short stretch to the laundry room, without being too near it ! Finally, being near the elavator, it was very convenient to the drinks station and restaurant on deck 9. Despite its location we were not affected by passageway traffic at all. Overall recommended.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 6616 Condition: 5
Deck: 6 Category: 6 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 09/19/08

Notes: The room was not noisy at all. Close to elevator, laundry room and right below top siders. Good view of castaway cay and key west. Room was spacy for me and my fiance. Also in american ports you can watch the transfer of a piolt from the ship to a boat directly below from the verandah.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 6616 Condition: 5
Deck: 6 Category: 6 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 10/13/07

Notes: Room was great. Right next to the elevator/stairs but did not have any problems with noise as people were making their way to or from them. Had four people in the room, two adults and two teenagers. Wasn't too bad moving around. Good location for the restaurants but if you are not very mobile it is a bit of a hike for the shopping and entertainment district forward.
