Notes: I try to stay in starboard cabins because I love the view of Castaway Cay. This cabin didn't disappoint! It's also just a brief elevator ride or stair climb to Cabanas. Despite being two doors away from the aft elevator lobby, the cabin was suprisingly free of hallway noise. It connects to cabin 6620; no significant sound from there. There is a pump/motor somewhere below the room that cycles for about 45 seconds every 10 minutes or so. I did't even notice it the first night. After I noticed it, the sound didn't bother me or prevent me from sleeping, watching TV, etc.
The biggest issue for me (and probably merits less than 4 stars) was toilet room and shower room flooding on both afternoons we were at Castaway Cay (B2B 4/11 and 4/14/14). On the first stop, I got back to the cabin after 4 pm and went to shower: there was water and black particulate matter all over both floors. It did not spill out into the entry hallway. No water or gunk in the shower, sinks or toilets, it was probably backup from the floor drain. Maintenance and housekeeping arrived promptly to clean it up. On the second stop to CC, I returned around 3 and didn't find any water on the floor. Hurrah! I took my shower and headed to the balcony to enjoy the view. Around 4 pm I heard gurgling from the bathroom...and found more water and black particulate matter on the floor. Again I called Maintenance and Housekeeping. They arrived promptly, removed the water and gunk and bleached the floors. A while later, my sister (in 6624) had the same flood with gunk happen in her bathrooms(she didn't get flooded on the 4/11 cruise).
I went to the Guest Services desk after the second event and told them it was disappointing that they didn't seem to fix it the first time. They were very apologetic, somewhat concerned about the inconvenience and wanted to be sure that it was cleaned up promptly. This seems like a recurring issue and not random.
Our cabin attendant, Margaret (from St. Vincent), was so apologetic about the flooding. She was thorough in cleaning the area and made sure we were well cared for on the rest of the cruise. She's by far the best cabin attendant I've every had! |

Notes: Convenient location to aft lifts. Plenty of storage space, also comfortable enough to bring lunch and eat on the verandah. No problems with any outside noise. Small issue with shower water temp (fluctuated between hot and warm); reported to stateroom hostess and problem was fixed by the next morning. Usually ported on the side of this room; I enjoyed watching the dock/undocking procedures but watch out when opening the curtains in the morning. |

Notes: Great Room Location, right next to the Aft Elevators.
Very Noisy due to underneath life boat safety hydraulics. I will never book this room again.
