Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 6677 | Condition: 2 |
Deck: 6 | Category: 11B | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 08/31/14 | ||
Notes: The aesthetics of the room were excellent, queen bed, with pull down bunk bed. It could easily sleep 4. However, the noise level was bad in my opinion. I am somewhat of a light sleeper, however, this room seemed to be right above the engines. Your could hear the hum sometimes louder (sail away day) than others. You also felt the vibrations of the engines when placed in reverse to back into the ports, sometimes sever at times. We called it the shake, rattle and hum room. Unfortunately trying to sleep was difficult unless you had a few drinks. I will say being in the aft on deck 6 was convenient to most of the happenings. Plus the elevators were easy to get on for decks 11 or 12 if you didn't want to walk. Our DD was in the kid's club on 5, plus the adult clubs and restaurants are closer to the aft. I would stay in the aft again but away from or higher up from the engines. |

Deck: 6 | Category: 11C | Location: Mid |

Notes: The room was fine physically (it was actually nice) but it had a serious vibration issue when the ship started to move at night. We couldn't sleep. We thought something must have been wrong with the room. We have been on many cruises and have never experienced vibration like this. |
