Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 6686

Notes: We loved the view,and my DD liked to curl up in the port hole to read, and dream. but THERE IS NO privacy curtain between the bed and the sofa/pull down. the extra space in the room (it is and accessable) was fantastic! I would ask for this room again. It did get noisy when the seas were bad, but putting a tissue araund a vibration made a huge diference.

Notes: I really really hated this room. Although the room is spacious, it is EXTREMELY noisy. The room not only shakes and vibrates when the thrusters are on, but the panel of ceiling immediately above the bed is loose and shakes uncontrollably whenever the ship is moving. Some may sleep through this, but I didn't. I slept a total of 3 hours a night in this room. I woke up constantly. I ended up having to wear earplugs in my sleep to get through the night. Also, there is a flagpole near the outside of the window and the flag banged incessantly throughout the night. These types of noises woke me up every hour on the hour, the shaking, vibrating, engine noise, flag pole metal clanging and finally the thrusters in the early morning. I nearly cried on the 2nd night of the cruise from being so exhausted. If you're a light sleeper, AVOID this room like the plague.

Notes: great room, very large room, good room for kids. noisy when pulling into port. thruster is a good alarm clock.

Notes: The room was very large. This was an accessible room. The bathroom only has a shower, no tub. The Queen bed was very comfortable. The room had a sleeper sofa and pull down bunk. My kids loved the bunk and took turns sleeping in it. The room had two large portholes. As previous poster reported, it is noisy in the morning when docking. The engines and shaking woke us up each morning. Room is really nice. I loved all the space and would book this room again. For us, the size outweighed the morning noise. The room was convenient to the Kid's Club which was on deck 5.

Notes: This is a handicapped room in the aft of the ship. This cabin is EXTREMELY spacious, with more than enough room for a family of four. However, it is very noisy...and shaky, thanks to the ships engines. Whenever the ship docked, the noise and room-shaking was tough to take, especially at 6am. It was impossible to sleep through. But, aside from the noise, the room was nice and comfortable!

Notes: The room was comfortable and the verandah was obstructed, but we didn't really use it as there are so many beautiful decks to sit on. Close to elevators, and very quiet. Only had a queen bed and couch bed. Nice view of Castaway Cay. next time will get a Oceanview family stateroom as they are larger than the oceanview with verandah.

Notes: This room is handicapped accessible, and we were assigned this room for our cruise (none of our party requires this type of room). It was larger than most rooms and had 2 portholes which were really nice. There is no divider curtain between the bed and couch/drop down bed area (sleeps 4). Comparing this room to stateroom 6000 on the Disney Wonder (which we recently sailed on - upgraded to it at the port) we both felt that this room was slightly larger and the bathroom was also slightly larger/wider. It had a large wheel-in shower with a drop down seat and rails. The only negative we found is that the room does NOT have a fish located outside the door, so if you wanted to participate in the fish extender, you would have a problem. Also, on our cruise the navigators were not left in the rooms, but delivered to the fish later in the evening. We had to go down to Guest Services each evening to ask for a Navigator (even though we explained the problem and even had an officer come look to verify there was no fish, they never "fixed" the issue by sliding the Navigator under the door or anything). I also imagine if you were traveling with a wheelchair that the final turn to the room might be a little challenging - it is a sharp turn at the end. Unlike room 6000 on the Wonder, the automatic door for this room did not have a switch to turn it off, so therefore you must wait a few minutes to make sure your door closes completely before walking off. Overall, I'd love to have this room again!
