Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 7170 Condition: 5
Deck: 7 Category: 7A Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 09/30/12

Notes: We were apprehensive about our view before embarking, however I can tell you that this stateroom was perfect. Position: It's location was perfect. As it was at the back of the ship, it was very quiet. It is located very close to the Aft elevators, which are not as frequently used, so we never really had to wait too long. The Aft elevators deliver you straight up into Cabanas, or straight down to the District. We never felt like we were too far out of the way. View: The view for this particular cabin was excellent, particulalry at Castaway Cay as the gangway was directly beneath us. We did what another Dis Cruiser did- as soon as we were in, we moved the curtain to the other side of the rod, and we immediately had a full view. Cabin Ammenities: The cabin was spotless, large and furnished very well. The verandah was sizeable and comfortable, the lounge and bed were huge, and the split-bathroom idea by Disney was a very welcome addition. Overall, the cabin was what made our trip amazing- if you don't want to pay a lot extra, we did not feel like we missed out on anything by not booking a full verandah.

Notes: Verandah is partially obstructed, however if you unclip the curtains from the right and move them to the left third of the sliding door it hides the obstruction and gives a great view from the bed and/or couch out the remaining 2/3 of the sliding door. ;) Being right near the aft elevator gives great access to all the deck 4 adult clubs and also to Cabanas on deck 11. Was very quiet - I didn't hear a single toilet flush other than our own and the only time we heard neighbors was when we had the sliding doors open and once when a child was playing cat on the other side of the connecting door - or maybe it was a cat?! We did hear the engines as background noise and louder docking/leaving port - wouldn't expect any less on a ship! Space was comfortable for us (2 adults) although a family may prefer a bit more space. We found it easiest to walk to whichever elevator we needed (mid/fore) on deck 7 and go up or down from there. Also, muster station is M, since someone asked. :) Overall, we were very happy with the room! Feel free to ask any specific questions!
