Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 7690 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 7 | Category: 5E | Location: Aft |

Notes: I was hesitant to book a 5E because of the vibrations and noise, and greatly relied on the reports from this database. I’m thankful for those reviews! Like the others reported, there are vibrations that are noticeable just about all the time. They are only heard if the room is silent, but there is a pleasant kind of hum you feel. We enjoy that as it feels like you are on a boat. Staying midship felt too calm for us. Our sailing was particularly rough. Veteran cruisers remarked that it was the roughest cruise they’d ever sailed anywhere in the world. Some of those had been on 10+ Disney cruises. Outer deck areas were sometimes closed due to wind, and we were unable to dock at CC. Because of the rough seas, there were times we had to brace ourselves in the room. At bed time we went around the room to eliminate metal on metal clanking. Took down hangers, put ice bucket in a suitcase, and one of our bathroom doors we could not sleep with the door closed, as it clanked. I put a shoe between the door and frame then used a bungee to keep the door closed. The TV I had to find the sweet spot to eliminate shaking noise. After taking a few minutes to do all that, I put in some ear plugs and slept like a baby. Best sleep ever. Loved the hum and rocking for sleeping.
Is the extended verandah and view worth the inconvenience? Yes!!! A thousand times yes. We had two full sized loungers, a chair, and table. I never noticed any ash/soot. The view was incredible.
Given our experience with the seas, I think we had pretty much the worst case scenario for the negatives of staying in this room. With that in mind, I wouldn’t recommend this room for elderly persons, those who get sea sick easily, or first time cruisers if they are traveling when storm systems are common. I also would not recommend for first time cruisers who don’t know their tolerance to movement on a ship. There is much more movement, even on calm seas, and If you were to experience sea sickness it could put a damper on your vacation. Hope this helps you plan your cruise!! |

Notes: Sail date was Feb 6, 2017. Had four people in room - two adults and two kids, 9 & 4. The room was everything we expected. Everything was clean and worked fine except our wave phones wouldn't charge for the first few days but room host resolved that for us. Split bath was nice. Quiet hallway and close enough to art stairs & elevators which didn't seem as busy as mid. Quick trip up to cabanas or down to kids club & mdr's. We had enough space and didn't feel like we needed more. Extended verandah was fantastic and had two chairs and two half reclining chairs. Liked the view of castaway cay as we backed into port. |

Notes: Vibrations were constant most of the time. Sleeping was difficult as the beds shook all night which felt like it was coming from engines. Yes extended verandah was great but would give up for a more comfortable room. |

Notes: We loved the oversized verandah in this room. Great location. Not a lot of people walking by. There were vibrations when going in and out of ports. View of CC was awesome. Plenty of space for us. Easy to get to Cabanas. |

Notes: We found 7690 on the Disney Dream to be very adequate for our needs. It sleeps 4 with the drop down bunk and the fold out couch. The verandah is oversized and somewhat private with the walls that can be opened to the adjacent verandahs. The bath is the split bath with rectangle tub with shower in the tub and the extra sink and toilet in the other. It was quiet and comfortable and has a fantastic view of Nassau and Castaway Cay. The complaint of the noise of the flat is Well it didnt bother us. The walk to the forward part of the ship is a hike but easy if you just stay on deck 7 and use the corridor to the other elevator lobbies instead of trying to go down to deck 3 or 4 and then try to go forward. Works for us. Here is a video on how to find it. http://youtu.be/6V1TxePbueM |

Notes: Love the aft rooms. We had room 7690 and my parents had 7194, I booked these rooms specifically to be on the back, wish I would have taken 7194 for ourselves, HUGE verandah. Ours in 7690 was larger than side balconies however not as big as the center room 7194. We opened up the two so we could move between freely which was nice. The room itself was nice, great storage space and my son loved the bunk. The split bathroom is a dream! |

Notes: I didn't find it noisy. At times some vibrtions could be felt, but nothing to disturb us. Being far aft, it did feel like quite a walk at times, but then again it was also easy to get to Cabana's, Animator's Palate and Europa. Extra large verandah was great, especially with the view of Castaway Cay. |

Notes: I selected this stateroom so we would have a verandah on the back of the ship. The verandah was longer than normal and we were able to sit closer to the door and have a shaded area. It was especially wonderful when we were at Castaway Cay! There were times we could smell the smoke from the ship's stack, but it wasn't very strong and didn't bother us. I know some people complained of soot on the verandah. We didn't have this problem. |

Notes: The room is a good size. We liked the split bathroom and especially having a bathtub. There is plenty of space for 2 people. Lots of storage space. The balcony is very large. It would have been nice if they would have had a lounger on the balcony. The only negative is that the flag makes so much noise, that when you are in port (at least in March when it's windy) you can't enjoy the balcony. It's just too noisy. The room itself is great. We like to walk, but it is quite a walk to get to the front of the ship. |

Notes: We loved this location. It was close to the aft elevators, quick access to the drink station and Cabanas. LARGE deck, plenty of room to enjoy the fireworks without the crowds. We had four 'adults' in our cabin and were never tripping over each other. Our daughter loved the location so much, she booked her own cruise for one of these cabins. |

Notes: My inlaws stayed in 7690 while we took 7192 & 7194 (adjoining). We all loved these aft rooms! I believe the balconies are larger (?) and 7194 was MUCH larger. Our stateroom host opened (at our request) the walls b/w the 3 balconies for a huge family balcony. Even by itself, 7690 is great! Wonderful views in Cast Cay & Nassau. |
