Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 8000 | Condition: 2 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 4A | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 10/02/23 | ||
Notes: Great cabin for a family as far as quietness and roominess. But, there are some issues you should be aware of. Would suggest 8500 on the starboard side vs. 8000 (port side) if you want the open balcony with no smoke as the spa is above 8500 vs. Smoking section above 8000.
Drink station in the ship is in the back which makes for quite the hike if you want drinks. Also, Cabana's which is the Buffet breakfast and lunch is quite a hall in the back of the ship.
Pros: Quiet, separate toilet/shower with tub, open balcony (most have some cover but 8000 is open to view stars at night.
Cons: smoking area is right above (not shown on most ship maps), Balcony always was wet because it had no overhang above, some.noise above, distance from only drink station on the ship |

Notes: Room was comfortable and quiet for 4 people using the couch and ceiling bunk. Had nice view of CC while in port. Was last room on aisle in forward corridor. Would request this room again for future sailing! |
Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8000 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 9C | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 10/10/15 | ||
Notes: quiet room, located at the front of the ship. It was nice to have a view of the front of the ship. We were able to see the hot tubs for vibe from our room.
there was a lot of extra room
nice view of all the ports, islands were right in front of us. it was on the same side of the theatres and adult pools. great location. |
Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8000 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 9C | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 12/22/13 | ||
Notes: This stateroom is at the front, middle of the ship.
Pros: You get to see out the front, kind of unique.
The room has some extra space around the windows.
Quiet and VERY little traffic.
Like other rooms at the front, this is sold as a restricted view, but because it is high up, you lose very little.
Cons: Porthole is smaller than most and no window seat since it is slanted.
Long walk to other parts of ship, but we liked the exercise.

Notes: Great large room compare to others in the same catagory. Being in the front of ship it was quiet. I would recommend if you do not mind walking a little bit further and would appreciate the extra room. Very nice ship and room! |

Notes: The room looks out over the bow of the ship, so where a normal room would end, this one is slanted. It has a lot of extra room for baggage. To look out the port hole you have to duck under it. Overall we loved the room. We were two adults so we were able to get to Quiet Cove easily. If you had to go to the aft it was a bit of a walk, but was not something that would stop me booking this room again. The curtains on the porthole were great for drying swimsuits as the sun comes right on it. The only downside, and why I gave it a 4 was that the bow thrusters made the room shake, which happens when they turn in Nassau and then back at Port Canaveral at about 4 am. Other than that it was a great room, with a GREAT room host! |

Deck: 8 | Category: 9 | Location: Forward |

Notes: The room was beautiful and it was nice to have connecting rooms with the kids but noise from the crew powerwashing right outside the window at 8am on sea day was not fun. There was also a lot of noise at night from adjacent rooms toilet flushing every half hour ( they must have been sick)I would choose mid ship next time even if it meant a lower deck.View was of ocean and teen club, slanted ceiling gave a few extra feet at front of room for storage, location was fine for elevators, we mostly used the stairs. |

Notes: At 1st was worried that 2 adults and 3 kids would be like Sardines in a can! Wrong.
Room was good size, lots of shelving and areas to stow all our gear. The bath area is divided into 2 rooms. One has a sink and a toilet. The other room has a sink and the shower/tub combo. Both are very small and I found it impossible to put clothes on without looking like "Kramer from Seinfield!"
The only issue I had with spacing is when the Murphy bed is folded down from the wall you can not get to the Verandah without climbing over it.
Beds are all very comfortable! We had the pulldown bed from the ceiling and the foldout bed from the couch under. These basically turn into bunkbeds when opened. NOTE: You can't set these up- housekeeping has a "key" and will do so at nightime.
Small college size fridge is a good addition. Tv is on a swivel arm so it can be positioned on both sides of the privacy curtain.
This and that:
Views: can't be beat! We were on the best view side in all ports!
Noise: Really none heard except for the 4am cleaning of the deck above with the pressure washer. The deck above area is a deadend area that is used by the crew so foot traffic is very low.
Positioning: Close to lifts [stop being lazy- use the stairs!]Longest walk is to the beverage station on 9 aft but you can check out the views as you walk.
Overall it was a great cabin- would book it and recommend it.

Notes: There were 2 adults, 3 kids. A little cramped at night with all the beds out. Hard to get to Verandah with murphy bed down. Great for elevators, not much view at CC, wrong side of ship. |
