Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 8042 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 5B Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 11/14/15

Notes: We had this stateroom on our Nov 2014 cruise and requested it again for our Nov 2015 trip. Proximity to forward elevators was great with very minimal noise. Occasionally we could hear the animated screens when activated for the detective game, but sound was very minor. We had requested a room without a connecting door, which tends to be much noiser (can hear full conversations, kids crying, etc.). This cabin had virtually no neighbor noise, maybe occasional muffled sounds or when people were on the verandah, but that's it. I would definitely pick it again if selecting the same category.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8042 Condition: 4
Deck: 8 Category: 4A Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 02/08/15

Notes: This stateroom is in a great midship location. The room holds 5 as it includes a Murphy bed. The bathroom and verandah are showing a bit of wear and tear. As this room is under the pool area on deck 9 it is a bit noisy. In the mornings you will hear the chairs scraping against the floor from the above deck. A bit of a nuisance if you aren't an early riser. You'll also hear noise from running footsteps above and during the pirate party. There's a room directly across the hall from 8042 that is used by the stateroom hosts and so you may hear some noise from that area periodically. Although it wasn't often or for a long period. Bathrooms and beds are on the right side of the room. Overall a nice room in a great location on the starboard side of the Magic. Great views of Castaway Cay.

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 8042 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 5B Location: Forward

Notes: Loved this room and location. It wasn't all the way forward and despite being close to elevators it was very quiet. It was a quick run upstairs to the pool deck and down to the kids clubs. Staterooms above and below. We loved the view when docked in St. Thomas. Would choose this room again.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8042 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 5B Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 02/16/14

Notes: We loved the convenient location of this stateroom. Although being by the elevator has some drawbacks, the convenience makes up for any issues. Yes, there was a nearby picture on the wall from the Detective game but that really did not bother us at night at all since the game was mostly played by younger kids during the day. We loved just being able to head right up to the pool from our room. The forward elevators are much less busy than the mid-ship ones, a real plus when we needed to take them. Would book this room again in a heartbeat!!

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8042 Condition: 4
Deck: 8 Category: 4A Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 04/20/12

Notes: Not quite "excellent" as it hasn't been updated in a while, but still in shipshape condition. Still has beverage cooler (heard they are all getting real fridges at some point). Blowdryer is "old hotel" variety. Docking station on alarm clock for iPod. Great views from verandah. Not too much rocking felt even when waves/wind were serious enough to cancel a port stop. Noise from above on Pirate Night was heard as was the daily disbursal of deck chairs in the early a.m. If you are a sound sleeper, you will not notice. Convenience to elevator/stairwell was great. Overall, a very good room location. Fit our family of 5 nicely (including a very tall tween). Cozy, of course, being all in one room, but we very much enjoyed being one floor down from food/pools during the a.m. Made it easy to choose the stairs over waiting in line for the elevator.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8042 Condition: 4
Deck: 8 Category: 5B Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 03/13/11

Notes: Very close to the forward elevator and can be noisy. There is also an animated picture that is part of the "Detective" game which draws a lot of excited (noisy) traffic. Bed is very comfortable. Sleeps four with a pull down bunk that we left down for the whole trip. Dual rest rooms are still genius. Altogether these are minor concerns based on location but when we reserved a cruise on the Fantasy for 2012, we avoided this room.

Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 8042 Condition: 4
Deck: 8 Category: 4 Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 11/26/06

Notes: Great room location as it is only one deck away from the pools, food, etc. It was noisy at times with the people stomping around deck 9. Great view from the verandah.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8042 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 4 Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 06/17/04

Notes: A little bit of noise from chairs above. I thought location was very convenient. Plenty of room for 5 of us. I think I personally would prefer the other side for views of the Western ports, but it was still great.
