Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8100 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 4B Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 01/07/23

Notes: Note - cruise was actually in 2024 but that could not be selected. The room itself was great. But there is a significant noise issue. Pretty much every night we heard both mechanical noises and sounds like things being dragged around from above. We reported it but nothing was done. The deck plan shows staterooms above and below, so these sounds are somehow being transmitted from elsewhere. Perhaps the unmarked crew areas across the hall (center of the ship)? We did move through this area on our deck to get to our muster station, and there are stairs up and down, though not sure what’s actually happening there at night.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8100 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: T Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 10/27/12

Notes: We loved this room! The size was amazing! It was a little noisy during docking. Also, it's just below Topsiders, but it wasn't too bad, the noise began as you should be getting up anyway. And due to the location, it is just one flight up to the soda stations. The bedroom seemed less noisy than the living room. I felt a lot of movement in the beginning, but we did have rough sees the first three days. Would definitely book again!

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8100 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 4 Location: Mid

Notes: very nice room, sleeps 4 (we were under impression that this room was for 5), perfect location, great service, great view from the balcony, but if you want to have a view of Castaway Cay, you need to be on the opposite side of the ship (it was a minor disappointment). It was so quiet, we thought we did not have neighbors! Highly recommend this room!

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8100 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: T Location: Aft

Notes: I found the suite to be in excellent condition. The room was clean and everything was in good working order. Being it a handicap room it was larger than other suites including an oversized balcony. I didn't notice any noise from above. The room did creak but nothing that bothered me. I would reserve this cabin again.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8100 Condition: 4
Deck: 8 Category: 3 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 11/27/10

Notes: Since this is an accessible stateroom, it & the balcony were HUGE & well-appointed. We didn't even use half of the closets, cubbies and drawers. However, it was very noisy - not from foot traffic but from 1) docking - the entire room shook each time we docked. Sounded like a bulldozer coming through 2) When hit choppy waters, the ceiling and cabinets creaked VERY LOUDLY as we're at the very back tip of the ship and everything expands and contracts with the ship. Tylenol PM and earplugs worked for me but not for my DH. Couldn't find a better locale, tho. Easy access to everything on Deck 9, esp. the free drink station. :) Oh, and the views from the balcony are breath-taking but you do get a lot of stares from the upper deck right into your balcony, so don't go out there in your b-day suit! ;)

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8100 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 3 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 07/18/07

Notes: This was a great room, so far the best I've stayed in on a Disney ship. We were in it for 10 nights on a Mediterranean cruise and loved it. It was super convenient to Deck 9. The 'really' after stairs lead right into the back of Topsiders which was so nice for early morning breakfasts. Very close to the Mickey pool and snack areas as well. We never heard one sound from hallway noise or anything from above as it's very quiet on Deck 9 above 8100 since you can't walk all the way around like the other side. There was noise and vibration when the ship was docking in the mornings, but it was quick and actually helped us get up in time to watch the ship pull in each day, which we love to do. The verandah has a solid wall, so keep that in mind if a plexi-verandah is important to you. For us it was not, though we did have to hold our kids so they could see. I liked how the verandah is partially covered, unlike 8102 which was in full sun. We also did get people looking down on us occasionally, but it was mostly crew members watching the ship pull into or leave a port. The space is great. Plenty of room for the 4 of us (me, my mom, 3yo and 11 month old), including my newly walking son. It was nice that he had room to toddle without crashing into everything. The wider hallway was great for wheeling in the strollers and the area by the conencting door was perfect for storage.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8100 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 3 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 07/22/06

Notes: Large room, very beautiful. Large verandah (that people can see in to from Topsiders). Solid railing not see-through. It's a handicap room so very spacious hallways, bathrooms, etc. Sleeps 4 - one Queen bed and a full-size sleeper sofa in main room. I thought sleeper sofa was not very comfortable but my son never complained (to be 7 again!). Suite has 2 DVD players and new TVs (no VHS as in booklet). There is one walk-in closet with a 4-drawer dresser. There is a second closet including a bunch of "shelves". There was a mirrored area which could have been used for makeup, but it was in the main hallway so not as convenient as other suites. No bathtubs, has two "walk-in" showers. I worried about water all over the floor from showers based on other reports but only trouble was one time when the waves were high. They have drains in the floor surrounding the shower area, and that worked well enough. Being in the back of the ship, there is more motion, we used more Dramamine than previous trips midship, but no one actually got seasick. Second worry from other trip reports was noise from Thrusters, especially when going in to ports. This is true! The whole room shakes like its an earthquake, but it is short in duration, and did not mar our trip. It is loud, and it does wake everyone up. Some would look on this as a great wake-up call. Final worry, noise from Topsiders. Yes, we could hear them moving chairs around, etc., but never bothered us, and definitely not worth worrying about. The convenience to Topsiders is more important. This suite has good access to the secret deck 7 aft, and not too far from deck 7 laundry. Concierge service was very helpful and provided lots of goodies.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8100 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 3 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 03/11/04

Notes: Handicap room, so different layout than other Cat. 3 suites. No fold-down bed, so sleeps 4, not 5. Great open floor plan: extra wide hallways, doorways and bathrooms. Has showers rather than bathtubs in the 2 bathrooms. Extremely large balcony, holding 2 chaise lounges and table with 4 chairs. Solid, not plexiglass, railing. Room was very quiet (though there was some engine noise when backing in at Castaway Cay). Very convenient to Deck 9 pools, beverage station and Topsiders. Concierge service was excellent. We have booked this room again, even though we do not need a handicap room.
