Notes: Great room, was large because it is a wheel chair room. HUGE WRAP AROUND BALCONY. Our only complaint is it is located right below the buffet and the outside tables are above it. We never had a issue with trash but when on balcony anyone above can see you and when they are eating the chair skid sounds can be heard in your room. We were awoken almost every morning with this issue. The ship tried to accommodate as much as possible but I dont see much they can do to really solve problem. We never had an issue with trash like some previous comments. The couch is worn down and uncomfortable to sit on. No fold out wall bed in this one but our son slept in a pack in play so we had no problems. Overall we would book again because the interior is larger due to the handicap assisable. Curious to see if they change anything with refurbishment in Oct/Nov |

Notes: This cabin, 8102, and the one next to it, 8602, were altered during the refit. The huge veranda was made a bit smaller, one of the two sliding doors was moved and the large cabinet and bar sink were removed. This leaves no storage space for clothes in the living area.
The living area has a pull out sofa and table for four. The bathroom is adequate and there is closet space, with many hangers, for hanging clothes. There's a door to the veranda. The pull out sofa was standard. Adults probably will not like it. Kids may do OK on it. The bathroom door was hard to close and the hall closet doors slide back and forth when seas rock the ship.
The bedroom is roomy, has lots of drawers for storage but very little space for hanging clothing. The closet door and room door open into each other, very annoying at times. I found the mattress to be rather lumpy, but I slept well anyway. Other than the loud noises from tables and chairs being moved on deck 9, (sometimes in predawn morning hours), this is a very quiet, secluded cabin.
The bathroom is huge, about 10 feet by 10 feet, two sinks and large shower area. It took about a minute to get hot water flowing.
The major negatives in this cabin are noise from Cabanas, trash from Cabanas and people watching you on the veranda. No privacy. Water from the crew washing the deck chased us inside several times.
The trusters may vibrate ferociously. Leaving Castaway Cay, into a wind, the trusters caused violent shaking for about 4 minutes. A CM happened to be in the cabin and was startled at the intense shaking. There is a constant vibration felt in the living area through the floor.
The doorbell to cabin 8602 rang in our cabin 8102. It was reported to a CM.
The room was clean. The bed is low without the suitcase storage space found in ordinary cabins. The main overhead lights switch is in the living area... odd placement.
The secret stair was very convenient to Cabanas. The location is convenient to many ship locations such as dining rooms and above decks and only the theater was a long hike. |

Notes: 12 day Med out of Barcelona. purchased 15 mos in advance after seeing same cabin on sister ship Wonder. concierge said it was similar...not identical...but...Then Magic went to dry dock.....this aft area appears to have undergone signif renovations and the cabin config, size and storage space was changed radically. in addition, something was def off on this cruise. service just not up to snuff as far as room was concerned. And we unloaded a chunk of change for this trip/cat T.
Ports were awesome but concierge service was not up to par (karl holz was also on board but we were assured that his presence was not distraction...i wonder??). very few personal touches. for example, only saw our concierge once a day at dining room. had to ask for everything. he was not anticipatory at all. very reactionary. kind of tedious after a while.
A/C in bedroom was terrible. also too cold in living room area. master bath handicapped bathroom was big and shower was lovely...no prob with floor getting wet for us. no wall hooks to hang robes or towels. no shelves mounted on any walls in either bath. had to put tween's hygiene bags on floor of second bath...eww. second bath not handicap accessible. no drawer space in LR area. limited shelves in closet in entryway. bc this room is accessible, the furniture in the living room is limited. one fold out loveseat (double mattress),a single hardback chair (too small for my husband,6'), and another 1/2 chair thing that our 11 yr old girl could sit in. all furniture stained. furniture and layout radically diff since drydock! BR is queen bed but far side of bed is literally 6" off the wall. it would be very challenging for elderly person to rise comfortably and maneuver out of this space. BR closet space is a joke. triangular shaped space with teeny dresser, safe and about 6 hangers on a rod below a small shelf. overall, not the luxury accommodations we saw before ship went to dry dock but would have booked anyway as it was last cabin in concierge for that itinerary, which was awesome. cabin steward terrible. our room never ready before 3:30 on any day of 12 day trip. he had excuse for everything. very tedious after a while.
hose off of cabanas was ridiculous. can't they look over and give us a warning??also, the timing of cabin maintenance ( we understand it needs to get done) was very poor with no coordination and no communication between maintenance crew and concierge. we are early risers and were gone most of the day but on sea days and other early excursion days, back to cabin around 3 pm, we'd be greeted by unmade beds, unclean baths and on 4 occassions, possibly 5,maintenance men doing wiring, painting, stripping, varnishing, etc. it frankly became infuriating esp when we had mentioned to concierge the possibility of a little better coordinated effort. none of the services ever really improved( on the last day at sea,the hose guy at cabanas did look over) guest services very helpful in listening and apologized. gave us significant discount on future cruise. since we love DCL, had super excellent time on Wonder in Mar 2013,we decided to try again and have booked a Cat T on Fantasy for Caribbean next June...with signif discount. we live in FL & will drive to Port Canaveral, so very little added expense. we'll see how this shakes out.... |

Notes: Wonderful cabin! Water on the floor from the shower? No problem, just put down extra towels. I'm a sound sleeper & never heard thrusters, etc.that others reported. The Concierge (Danny) was FABULOUS! My only complaint was when they were cleaning the decks around Topsiders & Palos it sprayed down on us on the balcony. |

Notes: Loved this room! Perfect location. Extremely quiet area and conveniently located. Highly Recommend! One detail that I overlooked when booking: This room only sleeps 4. I thought it would have the pull down bed from the wall, but it doesn't. |

Notes: The room was fantastic but as mentioned in other reviews, it did have some issues. The deck was gigantic although the med was chilly so we didn't use it as much as we thought. During rough at sea days, the room was very noisy from creaking of the ship but when seas were normal this was not an issue. We brought foam ear plugs and were fine. Kids didn't notice. The bathrooms were fine and since it is a handicap room, the showers are wheelchair accessible and water does get on the floor but easy to address with a few static towels on the floor to catch water. It was more of an issue when seas were rough. Our biggest problem was the air conditioner that didn't work until day five of the cruise. The room was very spacious and the pullout bed from the couch was fine for the kids. The concierge was amazing and probably the best of any concierge service we have used (royal Caribbean, regent, Disney). Room was restocked with soft drinks and water. Convient to topsiders and the soda dispensers on above deck. We never had noise issues from topsiders since the room is above the outside deck of topsiders and early in the morning, it was too cool for people to go out. The concierge was everywhere for us. We set up private excursions and she would call the guide the day before to confirm time and pick ups. They set up a private wine tasting on first at sea day for our fellow dis board members (51 people) before we cruised. The kids were showered with arcade cards on each at sea day and although we precooked all excursions early, we decided to change to an excursion I. Corsica ghat was filled very early and she was able to get us those as well as any spa appts even during at sea days after we were on ship. We would get this room in a heartbeat again if possible! |

Notes: Transferred to this room after a leak in our category 4 ceiling. The room was huge. Two full handicapped accessible bathrooms. Walk in closet. Biggest verandah you can imagine, though as stated, not very private. Didn't notice the motion so much, however, when they used the side thrusters to port (at 6 am for CC) you are up and awake for the day...especially when they have to try a second time due to the captain not getting his line quite right on the first attempt. All in all if I had to do a Cat 3, I would likely choose another location because of the thruster noise/vibration, but would be missing the verandah. (probably at least 300 square feet!) |

Notes: Love this stateroom. To me it is not a noisy room at all. For my party it was convenient to everything. The walks we took was good for us. At CC it was a perfect view of the beach and POC ship. 2 adults and 1 baby, it was plenty of room and more to spare. |

Notes: We loved this stateroom. Everything was in great condition, no complaints. Liked the location. The balcony is HUGE, but not at all private, people hang over from above and discuss how to get down there all the time! A lot of rubbish would blow down from the buffet above too. We had everything from butter wrappers to cups of ice blowing down on us. The stateroom was amazing though. We never heard a noise except the last night, it felt like half the crew were tramping above us in to the early hours. We did feel the sway coming in to Nassau and we had to go and sit outside in the fresh air, all 4 of us felt sick. Next trip we're a little more midship, but I would definitely be happy with this stateroom again!

Notes: Great access to Topsiders and pools. The verandah was big enough -true, there is no privacy-just smile at the people admiring YOUR deck. It got wet when they washed down Topsiders (no big deal). There is BIG shaking when coming into port from the thrusters. NO WAY to sleep thru it. Great view though. Best on board of Castaway Cay I imagine.
When the couch-bed was pulled out, there was no way to get out to the veranah except to go thru the bedroom. Don't care for the layout of this Cat.3. When you shower the floors are soaked even with towels down (handicapped suite so needs room for wheelchair). Just leaves a mess.
But it's a Cat.3 and the perks are great! |
