Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 8146

Notes: We actually sailed 7/30/16 but that wasn't an option. I liked the location of the deluxe family stateroom with verandah due to its proximity to the aft stairs/elevator and laundry. When we sailed, we went with my parents and my sister's family who stayed in 8148, 8150 and 8152. 50 and 52 connect. While the other rooms did not connect, our stateroom host was able to remove the barriers between the verandahs so we had one long, 4 room verandah. It was great! My family of 5 fit comfortably in this room (kids were 4, 10 and 12). My sister's kids are a little bit older and much taller so she chose 2 smaller, connecting rooms instead.

Notes: Great room. Elevator was convenient, as was the laundry room for ironing. Elevator took you to middle of Cabanas so very easy to go up and bring down breakfast for little ones. Also convenient to kids clubs. Lots of room, sleeps 5 with murphy bed. Connects to 8144. No noise. Doesn't face Castaway Cay.

Notes: This room was easy to find because it's the first room in its category as you go down the hall, so there's a little jog in the hall. I think that also kept kids from running past because they had to slow down to turn the corner. Very convenient to the laundry room. When the murphy bed is down, it blocks access to the veranda and to the bottom drawer of storage on the desk. There is also the drop down bunk, so the room sleeps 5. Plenty of storage. Suitcases fit under the bed, 6 nice sized drawers, a closet with shelves at the bottom for shoes, and 2 cupboards above the desk. The coffee table opens for storage, and we used that for our hamper. This room does have the split bath with rainshower head. There is also a handheld sprayer. The tub is tiny, but would work for kids under 5 or so. The lightswitches for the bathrooms are on the wall outside the bathrooms between the 2 bathroom doors. Bring battery operated night lights for the bathrooms, otherwise you will wake up the rest of the room when you go to the bathroom because you have to turn on the light before you go in! There is also a step up to enter either side of the bathroom. There are storage shelves inside the shower with plenty of room for everyone's necessities.

Notes: Great room! No noise or movement at all! Has the murphy bed, and drop down bed-sleeps 5 close to the elevator and laundry. Would love to get this room again!
