Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 8156 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 5B Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 07/06/13

Notes: ROOM: There were 4 of us staying in the room (DW, DM, DS and myself). There was plenty of room for us, but I would have prefered the slightly larger Deluxe Family. My mother slept on the pull-out couch bed and slept great and even declined getting an eggcrate mattress pad. The large bed was extremely comfortable and we wish we could have taken it home with us. The room itself was very nice and clean. The only wear and tear was with the Wave Phones. Some of the numbers were rubbed off, but the phones functioned just fine. The veranda was nice and clean. There were two chairs and a small table. LOCATION: This room is located on the Port(left) side and aft/rear of the ship, which put us on the dock side when at the ports on our Western Carribean cruise. The aft elevators are a LOT less busy, so traveling between floors was a breeze. Three floors up was Cabanas and a short walk through there brought you to the pools. Animator's Palete and The District with all of the adult clubs are also located at the aft elevators. ISSUES: I have read that some folks felt vibrations and such in this room or rooms close to this one. The only time I felt any vibrations was when were arriving at a port and even then it was VERY minimum. It was not enought to wake any of us or even make ripples in a glass of water. The only noise that we experience was when the luggage was being taken to/from the rooms as the service elevators were located directly accross the hall. With that said, there are doors that close this area off for the entire cruise and you would not know that they were even there once under way. CONCLUSION: So, would I book this room again? Yes! The location to the restaurants, clubs and pools was great. SIDENOTE: The last evening of the cruise, the hallway gets very crowded with luggage, but more so in front of this stateroom. As mentioned above, the service elevators are directly accross from this room. DCL request guest to place their luggage outside of their staterooms on the last evening. It is then be gathered and placed in the hallway across from this room's door and the few rooms that are to the right and left. This leaves only one side of the hall open to walk through. Again, this was only on the last evening of the cruise, so it is not that big of an issue.
