Notes: Our first DCL since our honeymoon in 2005! We took our two children with us, and we had my husband's parents in the connecting room (8174). The kids LOVED the bunk bed...my son on the top, which pulled down from the ceiling; and my daughter in the sofa bed underneath. It was great that Service set up their beds while we were at dinner each night; and in the morning, they put it away and converted it back to the sofa seating. The space was great, and my mother-in-law kept commenting how much extra space was in these cabins, as compared to other cruise ships she has sailed on in the past (non-Disney.) The porthole window was HUGE, which was a surprise, and had padded seating which was awesome. The kids loved sitting there and looking out the big window (as did I!)
The cabins were very quiet, especially bing in the Aft (less traffic walking by.) We did get our walking in for sure to get to the Mid-ship or Forward of the ship. We also LOVED having the two bathroom spots...one room for the toilet; and the other room for the shower. The shower with the rainfall was super cool and awesome...great water pressure for all of the girls' long hair! :) |

Notes: Wonderful room! It slept 5 (bunk bed set and a Murphy bed) and it was a few feet longer than balacony rooms. The room was close to elevators and laundry. Within just minutes we could get to the buffet, kids club, or adult bars. My parents stayed in an inside room and it was very small. We felt it was well worth the extra cost to have the ocean view. My inlaws got a balcony room and honestly we liked our room better. It was a bit bigger and we felt it was safer for families with little kids.
We would book this exact room again in a second. Perfect! |

Notes: This cabin was awesome! We also had the adjoining 8172. This cabin slept 5 - queen bed, convertible sofa to twin, murphy bed (twin) and upper pull down berth (twin). Window was great and huge! Plenty of room here. Love the curtain that separated the sleeping quarters. Tons of storage. We had 3 adults and 2 kids between the two rooms (8174 slept 4 - no upper berth). Felt like a huge suite. Even though it was aft, it was close to the elevators, not far from the laundry and very quiet. No running kids around us. Couldn't hear anyone outside the room. Never had to wait long for the elevators. Very convenient to Cabanas on deck 11. Kids slept late so I'd go up and bring food to the room (more variety than room service). I had to write because there are no reviews anywhere about this cabin and I was happy to see it slept 5 (though we never needed it to). Hair dryer works great AS LONG AS you plug in the correct outlet at the desk (mirror in front of it). There are two plugs - if you put in wrong one, it doesn't have much power. Other is terrific. Don't bring your shampoo/conditioner. There products are amazing. Better than WDW H20 products. This was spa line. You can buy it on the ship in the gift shop. |
