Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8504 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 9A | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 06/24/23 | ||
Notes: The room is huge!! Basically there wasn't enough room for a second stateroom because it's all the way forward in a corner, so they allocated all the space to this stateroom. There are two chairs in addition to the sofa and the stool at the mirror. We could feel vibrations coming into port and there was some movement of the seas, but we didn't think it was excessive. There is only one porthole (smaller than the single portholes on other decks, but larger than the double portholes on deck one of the older ships) - it looks forward over the Vibe pool, but gives some great views especially pulling into port. |
Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8504 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 9A | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 09/01/18 | ||
Notes: Pros:
1. Huge (about 2.5x a normal stateroom)
2. Close to adult section
Cons:
1. Porthole view is minimal (odd angle)
2. Far from buffet (Cabanas)
3. Not conveniently located for family with little kids.
Conclusion: Will stay again just for the size. It feels like a Junior Suite. |

Notes: Room should really be considered an ocean view Junior Suite. We had to put the kids up on the porthole to be able to see out of it, but it was large enough to play hide an go seek inside the room. Imagine trying to do that in any other room within this booking category! Yes, it was all the way at the end of the hallway, but the kids loved running down the hall in order to race to get to the room first. Also, being in the front of the ship, we felt the back and forth motion on the waves more than I am assuming people in the middle of the ship did. It was worth those two trade offs to have so much space to sprawl out and relax in, though. Slept 4 with extreme ease. |

Notes: Room was huge! Sleeps 4. Noise when pulling in and out of ports. Will book room again. |

Notes: The door sticks. Be sure to pull the door shut or it will not latch. It also sticks when opening. This room has trade offs. It is a large corner room which our family of four liked. However, for that room you get a wall that is angled across the front (a few head bumps), a smaller porthole view across the bow, a dimmer room due to the port hole's location in the corner of the room, and no privacy screen between the main bed and the drop down and sofa beds. It was worth it for us to have the extra space since we did not spend a great deal of time in the room anyway. We felt there was more vibration and noise from the forward thrusters than we experienced on the classic ships. This is not unique to this room. |

Deck: 8 | Category: 9 | Location: Forward |

Notes: Amazing room! Much larger than most rooms in this category. Perhaps even twice as large. The room is a bit of a walk from the ship's social areas and even the closest elevators. So if there are people in your party that have trouble getting around, the distance might be a hassle. If everyone in your party is mobile, it is a spectacular space. |

Notes: Large 9A corner room all the way forward on Deck 8. Had tons of floor space. One slanted porthole that looked out forward over the bow of the ship. No privacy curtain. Sofa bed was on opposite side of cabin from the Pull Down Bunk. Storage space was good but had less closet shelves than our 9B on Deck 2. Split bath. Plenty of room for a pack & play that could be left up all the time. Really liked this cabin. Had so much floor space it could use a chair or even an extra dresser. Was nice not being in the way of each other in the cabin. Cabin reminded me of a cozy attic room as it had slanted ceiling all the way around. Would definitely stay in this cabin again. You could not see the TV if you were sitting back on the couch though, but if you were seated on the edge of the couch you could. |

Notes: Very quiet corner room. Open feeling to room (was used to very narrow rooms). This is more of a triangular shaped room with split bath. |

Notes: We were upgraded from a mid ship category 6 and in hind sight would have stayed with the 6. The room size was nice, with additional space and storage. However, the tub was in desperate need of refurbishing. The entire bathroom needs an overhaul due to chipping paint, missing grout, mold, etc. You could also hear rattling at night and sometimes a thudding sound (maybe the spa?) The motion was not bad that far forward. A toilet overflowed the day we left a few rooms down and stunk the hallway up for 3 days, even with fans and carpet cleaning. Our stateroom host, Ike was great. |
