Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8512 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 8C | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 11/10/18 | ||
Notes: We have a family of 7, connecting staterooms 8512 & 8514.
Our family of 5 (Mom, Dad, DD[12] DS[10] & YDS[4]) slept in 8512 with a pull down bunk, sleeper sofa and murphy bed. All were very comfortable.
The split bathroom was fantastic, there is a rain shower head as well as a normal one. Plenty of storage!
When we had both stateroom doors open, it felt like a Studio Apartment.
My only complaint is that we felt a lot of movement at night, I don’t know if we had rough seas, but leaving Port Canaveral in the evening and leaving Castaway Cay especially, were like swinging on a hammock. It wasn’t bad enough for me not to stay here again, although if you need to do laundry, you have to go up to deck 9 or down to deck 7. |

Deck: 8 | Category: 9A | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 01/01/17 | ||
Notes: We had staterooms 8512 and 8514. 8512 sleeps 5, with the pulldown bunk that looks at the stars. 8514 sleeps 4 (no pulldown w stars)
These rooms have a connecting door. Spacious as can be! Tons of storage! 5 teens stayed in 8512 and had storage for everything. And 2 of us were in 8514 and didn't use half of the storage.
It was not a long walk to anything. And we never heard neighbors. I will stay in these tooms again. The only rocking we felt was when we first left FL. There was a tropical storm and rocking could be felt everywhere. Once past that, did not feel a thing!
Both of these rooms have split bathrooms with the round tubs. |

Notes: We loved this room's location, just in front of the forward elevators. Very convenient to deck 9 and the pools there. Nothing is too far away on the Wonder though. The room was very quiet. It is under the spa and above other staterooms. Everything in the room was in very good condition, all in excellent working order. We had a beautiful view at Castaway Cay. The verandah is under the bump-out of the spa above, so there is more shade/overhead protection than most of the other verandah rooms on the same deck. It was nice most of the time, but there are a couple light fixtures on the bump-out that ended up hanging down in some of my photos. The lights weren't ever on, so no glaring lights in the room at night. Just not a perfectly unobstructed photo spot, which would probably only bother me. Overall, we loved this room and would happily book it again. |
Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8512 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 8C | Location: Forward |
Sail Date: 08/18/12 | ||
Notes: Starboard side of ship, forward. Sleeps 5. LOTS of storage - we were 2 adults and 2 16-year-olds and had drawers and shelves we didn't even need to use. My DS used the bunk for the first two nights but then switched to the Murphy bed which, he says, is a bit more comfortable. Very close to forward elevators. If you need to do laundry, head to deck 9 forward (6 washers & 7 dryers!) rather than shlepping your laundry to deck 8's aft laundry (2 washers & dryers). |
