Notes: The room was perfect! There was no noise, and it was very relaxing! It was very easy to get to Pinnochio's Pizzaria to grab a quick bite, and I loved being able to quickly get to Team Edge! From our room, we caught the gorgeous view of some glaciers and wilderness, and even saw a seal giving birth on a glacier! There more than enough room! It was very comfy, and you really get to bond w/ your family! Overall, you should use it! |

Deck: 8 | Category: 4A | Location: Mid |

Notes: The location of this room was great. There was not much foot traffic by the room and it was close to both the midship and aft stairs. The midship stairs come out to the Edge and close to the Family Pool. The Aft stairs come out toward the sports deck. This was perfect for the kids.
The Launderette is one flood below this room. There was no noise from this, but accessing the launderette was very easy.
We didn't bother with the elevators to go to the restaurants or theaters. Even the 7 year old was good with the stairs.
Out of 5 nights, 3 were very quiet and 2 had deck noise from above. This was not enough to keep us awake, but was noticeable. There was a noise that was either a door closing or a toilet flushing upstairs that went on intermittently throughout the trip. This did not keep me up, but my husband said that it kept him awake a couple times. There was no noise from the neighboring rooms.
The thermostat worked well and the temperature was easily adjusted to our liking.
The room itself was in good condition. The bathroom had a urine smell that I had the SA eliminate. In general the toilet had a feeling that it was clean, but could have been cleaner. The shower and sinks were all clean.
The beds were large enough for the kids (7,10,11)and the optional bedrails on the bottom bunk (sofa) worked perfect.
The room was definitely spacious enough for the 5 of us. We put up the murphy bed in the morning so we could walk out to the verandah. Since the queen size bed was so high, we did not fully unpack all the suitcases, they were easy to slide out from under the bed. However I felt that there was a lot of space in the shelves, drawers and closet.
This room faces Castaway Key, the Miami Port and Grand Cayman Islands when in port.
Other than the smell in the bathroom, I would definitely choose this stateroom again. |

Notes: Wonderful room. Not much noise, great view of Castaway Cay when we docked. We could hear deck chairs being rearranged every now and then but the noise was not disturbing. The room itself was a little tired and in need of updating but generally well kept. Nice verandah, convenient location midship. Easy trip up to deck 9. |
Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8554 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 5B | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 05/11/13 | ||
Notes: Great location, right between the two midship stairways. Not noisy, balcony had great visibility above & below. Also had 8556 which was equally great! Spectacular view of CC while docked, not much view in other ports. We had 2 people per room and there was more than enough space & storage. |

Notes: Very quiet. Connected with 8556. Everything work perfect with the exception of the hair dryer. Wife felt is was weak and she has short hair. Between Mid and Forward elevators. Use forward elevators for easier access to other decks. Would stay in there again. |
Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 8554 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 5 | Location: Mid |

Notes: Fantastic room as was the adjoining room 8556 which we shared with the grandparents. Verandah opened up to double verandah as well. Smaller than average hotel but oh my goodness was it ever so cozy. Got the best night sleep in that bed. Bathrooms were both clean and fabulous. I can't say enough about this room. It was such a positive experience. And our housekeeper was kind and wonderful! Room is situated right between Mid and forward elevators/stairs. Easy access to EVERYTHING. |
Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 8554 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 4 | Location: Mid |
Sail Date: 09/15/07 | ||
Notes: I thought this room was extremely loud. I have two small children who nap during the day and it seemed the noise from upstairs never stopped; scrapping chairs, running and general banging. For the amount of money paid for this room I would have expected a little more peace and quiet. I plan on booking a lower catagory in the future because of the noise. |

Notes: Although the ship has tight quarters our family of 5 was very comfortable. This of course was not to be outdone by the excellent service that we recieved from our stateroom assistant KEYAND. He made our home away from home such a plesant experience. We are very appreciative of the service he rendered and especially impressed with his ability to perform his duties professionally. He is a real asset to your company. Our experience on the ship as a whole was fun, fun, fun. Thank you for such a happy vacation! Of course Fabio, Donavan and their assistants were such a treat every evening during our meals. |
