Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8679 | Condition: 4 |
Deck: 8 | Category: 10A | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 02/08/14 | ||
Notes: Room was clean, spacious, bed was comfortable, we loved the porthole. It was not far from the elevators and very quiet area of the ship. It was connecting wit 8681.
I'm a very light sleeper and really disliked the thrusters in the morning upon arrival in port. For this reason we will try another location on the ship for our next cruise. |

Notes: About as far back as you can go in the ship - one two cabins beyond. Off an inside hallway, it is very very quiet, which makes up for it being a bit out of the way. But seriously, it's only a ship, is anything really out of the way? Unlike another poster, we heard no noise at all from the nightclub. I would take this again, but not for more than two adults and a very small child. There is not much room to move and store stuff. |

Notes: We also had the connector 8681. Nice room. One of the few Cat 10 rooms on the ship. There is less closet and drawer storage in this room than on the Magic or Wonder Cat 10. Total closet space is about 1/3 smaller and there are only 3 drawers for clothing. No steamer trunk like on Magic. Flat screen TV is very nice with on demand movie and TV programming. To make up for less drawer storage the bed frame is higher and very large suitcases can fit under the bed. Use them as a dresser. There is a very cool electronic porthole which gives real time views outside and a few surprises. New beds and linens are VERY comfy. Each stateroom gets two cell phones to communicate on ship. These do not have any fee for use and replace the parent pagers. Be careful though, lose one and it costs $250. Overall these rooms are a bit smaller than the equivalent rooms on Magic but are nice. These particular rooms are quiet except when there is a DJ in Evolution lounge and the beat of the music travels up the interior walls 4 floors to your room. It is faint but there. Also be careful of taking a steamy shower. We set off the fire alarm twice because the sensor is in the exact right place to see the shower steam when the door is opened. Turn the shower off and dry off in that room before opening the door to fix this. |

Notes: Wonderful! This was our first Disney Cruise, and our first cruise at all! The room felt spacious enough for all of us (2 children/2adults). My son LOVED the "bunk" bed! The room was always immaculately cleaned, and the storage under the bed was very helpful in keeping things tidy. We can't wait to book our next Dream cruise! Much thanks to our stateroom hostess, Caroline. She was so sweet and interacted very well with the kids. Perfect vacation! |
