Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8682 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 5E Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 02/22/16

Notes: All the way aft room with off set view of ships wake but also provides Starboard side view. Muster station is in the Evolution club on deck 4. Extra large balcony that does not have a sliding door, but instead is a standard door. Balcony wraps around the back of the ship, but is only about 3 paces wide. Balcony had 2 reclining chairs, 2 reclining loungers, and a table. Balcony provided great views of Castaway Cay and Atlantis in Nassau. Also great view of the fireworks show. However, in February the sun sets such that this balcony receives less sun than 8184, if sun bathing matters to you. Did notice some soot on the balcony such that I would not walk out with bare feet. Room is easily 3 times the size of other rooms in this category, due to it being a handicap room. Handicap features include flashing light notifications, steward call buttons on the floor in case of falls, roll in bathroom, roll out balcony, closet pull down rack, and slow closing door. Bathroom is not split, and lacks counter space you would typically find in standard rooms. Bed is very close to door and shares a wall with 8684. The connecting door is on one side of the bed and separates the bed from the sofa. There is also a pull down berth in this room to sleep 4. However, there is no privacy curtain in this room. Television is much too small for the size of the room since it is all the way across from the bed. A sitting chair has since been added to this room. There is vibration during docking, so separate clothes hangers and lock the safe before you go to bed. Enjoyed close proximity to deck 10 up the stairs. Hallway is quiet since only people who have aft rooms go this far. Easy walk down to decks 4 and 5. Could be considered far from activities taking place at the bow of the ship. Would also note that this room shares a cabin steward with the interior cabins on this hallway, which can make it tough if you need to find your room steward since they may be in that hallway and not the main one. Would not hesitate having this room again as a couple, but might be difficult with smaller children without the privacy curtain and a bath tub.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8682 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 6A Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 02/16/14

Notes: This room is designed for passengers in wheelchairs. However, there's no reason ANYONE wouldn't enjoy this excellent room! Room 8682 is at least twice the size of the other verandah rooms on Deck 8, though the room is sparcely furnished because navigating around furniture can be more challenging in a wheelchair. My mom, who used a wheelchair on this trip, even thought the room was a little too barren in the furniture department. We asked our steward for a small table to play cards on to fill up the space, but he said there weren't any. The BEST feature, though, by far is the AMAZING verandah! It is literally seven or eight times the size of anyone else's on Deck Eight because it is the verandah that wraps around the aft corner of the ship. We literally could have had a party with thirty people on that verandah! Amazing sunset views! We spent far more time on it than we anticipated because it was so spectacular. As for the noise reported by others on this site, we heard nothing and slept like rocks. No tub, but we didn't miss it at all. The oversized shower was excellent (great heat and water pressure)and, though it didn't have walls to enclose the water, it NEVER flooded like so many similarly designed showers do.

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 8682 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 5B Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 04/01/12

Notes: Room was amazing. Oversized 700 sq plus. Queen bed with a sofa bed and drop down bunk. Bathroom is one large room with walk in shower. View off the huge veranda is breathtaking at night and day. Awesome view of Castaway Cay. Noise was almost at a minimum for being over the props. Some noise during docking but other than that very pleasant. Elevators just down the hall which was nice. Strange little sound once in a while from what is believed to be an ejector pump but nothing to worry about. This room will spoil you with its size and large layout.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8682 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 6A Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 08/16/11

Notes: Very large cabin with a wrap around balcony as long as the cat 1 suites, but not as deep. Only one bathroom with shower, toilet and sink, no bathtub but very spacious. Cabin is so big that the TV seems too small and far away. Room is sparcely furnished and there is no arm chair like in the other verandah cabins. Could feel vibrations of the anchor when docking or sailing away. The room was very quiet the rest of the time. There is no privacy curtain. The cabin sleeps 4 : bunk bed, sofa bed and queen sized bed. Great storage space. We had more than enough

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8682 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 6 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 06/07/11

Notes: Extremely HUGE room with your own deck, not your basic cruise ship balcony. Only 1 bathroom with a shower. Downside to shower (noisy drain). When u use the sink, the shower drain makes noise and even when you are not using either, it makes noise. Overall, this is the best room aside from a top of the line suite. You are lucky to get this room. When the ship is docking, you will feel the rumbling of it backing in the port. Aside from that, there is no noise. GREAT ROOM, would love to luck up on this again. Make sure you use the AFT elevators or you will have a long walk to your room. Laundry room on this floor (24hrs). The room next to this one is a connecting room...make sure you lock your balcony door when you leave, there is a big gap between the 2 balconies...big enough for a small child to come through, so be careful in this room with small children.
