Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 9646 | Condition: 5 |
Deck: 9 | Category: 5A | Location: Aft |
Sail Date: 09/08/13 | ||
Notes: Wonderful room! It was close to the aft elevators and stairs giving easy access up and down the ship. It was near a crew area where they organized luggage, so the first day our luggage was there when we checked into our room at 1:30pm. It has a small verandah with 2 chairs and a table but big enough for us and the view of the ocean in Nassau and all of Castaway Cay was perfect. Great room and wonderful host while we were there. |

Notes: This room was great. Didn't notice any noise at all. Very conviently located to aft elevators and just a short walk up two decks to cabanas. Would most defiantly book this room again. Fit all 4 in our family great. |

Notes: This starboard room was excellent. It was rather convenient to the aft lifts. There were no problems whatsoever with the room itself, its furnishings, devices, plumbing, etc. Be sure to look through all the cabinets and drawers to find things like the refrigerator, the hair dryer, and note paper.
The verandah has an open upper half. The lower half has a clear acrylic-like barrier on the inner side of the rails apparently to prevent climbing.
Although there is a laundry facility on Deck 9 forward, it was much closer and easier to go down to Deck 8 and use the launderette on the port side to find an iron.
The bed had ample space underneath for storage of suitcases and so forth. The closets and drawers seemed to have sufficient storage for clothing to be worn during the trip.
I didn't notice any noise from the ship engines or adjoining rooms. However, the room is directly across from the service lifts (closed to passengers during the voyage) used by the crew to bring up and down all the luggage, so on embarkation day and the night before debarkation, there is a bit of hustle going on then.
This room apparently has a connecting door to room 9644.
We had three people sharing the room. There was a main bed, and a couch that the room hostess converted to a bed at dinnertime and restored to a proper couch in the morning. It looked as though there was a drop-down bed in the ceiling for a fourth passenger as well.
There was a writing desk, a television (with video on demand for many of the Disney movies), dressers, an alarm clock with an iPod attachment, room phone, two portable phones for shipboard use, lifejackets, postcards, stationery, pen, split lavatory (one with loo and sink; one with bath/shower and another sink). The verandah had two functional chairs and a small table. |
