Inspired by the real Walt Disney Animation Studios lot in Burbank, California, this newly reimagined outdoor space brings the look, feel, and creative spirit of the iconic campus to Walt Disney World.

Designed as a relaxed, park-like setting, The Walt Disney Studios blends familiar architecture with playful, family-friendly experiences. As guests explore the area, they’ll find nods to the legendary Burbank studio, from soundstages to theater spaces, all surrounded by shady trees and open areas perfect for taking a break from the busy park day.

At the heart of the space, a building inspired by the Roy E. Disney Animation Building houses “The Magic of Disney Animation,” an upcoming experience that brings the art and wonder of animation to life. Here, beloved Disney characters step beyond the screen, inviting guests to laugh, draw, dream, and explore the storytelling process in an interactive environment designed for all ages.

Topping the building is Mickey’s iconic Sorcerer Hat, a recognizable symbol that connects the space to both Disney’s animation legacy and its Hollywood Studios roots.

The transformation also continues throughout the surrounding courtyard. The former home of Star Wars: Launch Bay now becomes a vibrant, animation-inspired setting where creativity and play take center stage. The reimagined area draws directly from the design of the Burbank studio lot, creating a cohesive space that feels both nostalgic and new.

Guests can still enjoy familiar offerings within this refreshed environment. The nearby Studio Theater remains home to “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” while a neighboring soundstage welcomes the energetic Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! show, adding even more entertainment options for younger visitors.
