King Arthur Carrousel

This ride is one of the largest carrousels in the world. It features 72 white carrousel horses that were handcrafted over a century ago, with no two being exactly alike. All of the horses move up and down as the carrousel revolves. Genuine metallic leaf is used, with 22-karat gold leafing covering the carousel spires. The story of Sleeping Beauty is told through a series of panels adorning the canopy. See if you can spot the lead horse Jingles.
Fun Fact: Most of the 19th-century horses now in place on King Arthur Carrousel were hand-carved in Germany and shipped to America. They were found by Walt Disney Imagineering scouts after six decades of neglect in Coney Island. Brightly painted and restored to their original splendor, they ride again in Fantasyland.
