BRAILLE

Disney Braille Guides

Braille guidebooks are available at Guest Relations in all four of the Disney theme parks and feature descriptions of attractions, restaurants and stores printed in large text as well as braille. Additional Braille Guidebooks are available on a first-come, first-served basis at designated retail locations.

Permanent Braille Maps

Permanent Braille maps are located at all four theme parks, Disney Springs, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. These use large print, with a clear Braille overlay. Some key landmarks and attractions have raised graphics for easy orientation. There are also listings for First Aid, Restrooms, Service animal relief areas, and Guest Relations locations.

Braille maps can be found at or near Guest Relations locations. Ask a cast member for additional locations as each theme park or property typically has 2 maps.


PORTABLE TACTILE MAPS

Walt Disney World theme parks offer Portable Tactile Maps which feature a representation of building boundaries, walkways and landmarks for each theme park.

Portable Tactile Maps are available and can be requested by email or by calling (407) 828-5005. A $25 refundable deposit is required. Guests younger than 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.


AUDIO DEVICES

Walt Disney World theme parks offer audio description through Disney Handheld Devices for select attractions and entertainment. Descriptions include actions, settings and scene changes for Guests with visual disabilities. It works with existing show audio at specific theme park attractions, entertainment and other locations.

Disney Handheld Devices are available through Guest Relations and require a $25.00 refundable deposit. You must return the device on the same day for a refund.


SERVICE ANIMALS

Service animals are welcome in most areas of Disney World. At all times service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness. Guests should follow the same attraction entrance procedures as described for guests using wheelchairs. Due to the nature of some attractions, service animals may not be permitted to enter. In those instances, a member of the guest’s party must remain with the animal.

Designated Relief Areas for Service Animals

Service animals are welcome to use any open outdoor area for relief as long as the owner picks up after the animal and leaves the area clean. Relief areas include the theme parks, Resort hotels and other Guest areas.

  • Adventureland: Adjacent to Pirates of the Caribbean
  • Frontierland: Near Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  • Liberty Square: Behind Liberty Tree Tavern
  • Fantasyland: Near Walt Disney World Railroad
  • Tomorrowland: By Space Mountain Restrooms

Epcot

  • World Discovery: Next to restrooms near Test Track
  • World Celebration: Next to Imagination! restrooms
  • United Kingdom: To the right of restrooms
  • Between Refreshment Outpost and Germany pavilion

Disney's Hollywood Studios

  • In the courtyard near First Aid
  • Across from BaseLine Tap House
  • Toy Story Land: near Alien Swirling Saucers
  • Toy Story Land Entrance

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park

  • Discovery Island: Near First Aid
  • DinoLand U.S.A.: Next to Restaurantosarus restrooms 
  • Asia: To the right of Maharajah Jungle Trek restrooms 
  • Rafiki’s Planet Watch: Next to Conservation Station entrance
  • Pandora: On path near Satuʻli Canteen

Service Animal Restrictions
Due to the nature of the experience, service animals are not permitted on the following attractions:
