Beijing Lau Bing

Filling:

  • ½ pound ground beef

Seasoning for Filling:

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • ¾ teaspoons salt
  • ¼ teaspoons pepper
  • 1/3 pounds chopped green onions

Skin:

  • 1 pound flour
  • ½ cup warm water

Preparation for Filling:

Mix ground beef with seasoning and chopped green onion. Set aside.

Preparation for Skin:

Mix flour and water together in a large bowl. Mix well. Let sit for at least ½ hour. Divide dough into 3 equal portions. Roll out one portion with rolling pin to form a circle of 10" to 12" in diameter.

Divide into three equal portions. Spoon 1 portion of filling in the center of the dough circle. Moisten the outer edge of the dough. Pinch. Repeat for the two remaining portions.

Serves 4
